A story written by mmmmmmmmmmmme!

Preface

“ Hey! Anna, Dan and Jeremy, would you like to join this hiking course with me during this summer holiday? It’s really fun...” I was just suggesting them to join this course, when suddenly, Anna and Dan violently object “ NO WAY!! I’d rather die than to join a course.” I was surprised by their reaction when I suddenly realized that Jeremy was nowhere in sight. It is known that Anna Dan And Jeremy are best friends and they never leave each other apart. Then, why, Jeremy is missing today? That surely is a mystery. So, out of curiosity, I asked them “ Didn’t you want to join this course? I thought that you guys really enjoyed it.” Yeah, not only enjoyed, but also has benefit in it, see? They are all so tanned and looked a lot fitter than before. “ And why aren’t you guys with your another shadow--- Jeremy? Where is he?” Anna sniffed. “ Don’t talk about it, Jeremy is...he is... dead.”Then she bursted into tears... I was stunned.” Anna, You have got to tell me everything. Every bit of detail. Don’t miss out a thing!! “ So, here goes the story...

Chapter One

-Why have We gotten into this rotten course!?-

“ Whoa! What a sunny day! “ exclaimed Jeremy. “ Just a excellent day for a course training section! “ Jeremy, always known as the boy of the sun, has tanned skin, blue eyes, dark hair and a fit body. He loved doing really exciting sports, for example canoeing, rocky hill 

climbing,e.t.c, e,t,c. He was one of the hottest guys in the school. Yet, he get along well with Anna and Dan, the computer genius and the Brain. 

“ Yeah, right, for you it sure it’s a fine day,” muttered Anna, the pessimistic girl, who has pale skin and green cloudy eyes, she was never a outdoor-y girl, “ But to us, the most disastrous day of the year.” she preferred to stay indoor to play computer games and she hates doing sports. You can see that from her shape, she’s a bit, well,  the best word to describe it is bulgy. 

“ Anna, I hate to say that, but I agree with you totally.” Said Dan--- who was known as the brain. He almost tops in every subject, except Sports. He wears glasses with thick lens and was as slim as paper. 

“ Oh, Jeremy, why have you gotten us into this rotten course? I’d rather stay home to finish my “Journey Quest”. I have almost hit level 100! “ Anna complained for the 40th time. She herself has known the reason very well, in the previous month, she has fallen in love with a cute guy, and that was Jeremy. And she was determined to get his heart. But with such bad body shape, she was determined to lose some weight. So, when Jeremy ask about the course, she just agreed. And Dan, was being persuade to join with her, because Dan has secretly liked Anna and he don’t want Anna to be alone with Jeremy. To be honest, He feels jealous.

So now, there they are, canoeing on an wide river. Jeremy has already reached the shore when she overheard what Anna said in about ten meters away. They all start at the same time on the other side of the river, but Anna was slower than Jeremy for about two minutes distance. “ Come on, Anna, if you want to reach the shore, quit complaining! “ Jeremy cried. He was so annoyed. He don’t know what to say to her. Even Dan has quitted talking, but Anna was still “ blah-Blah-Blah-ing” .  At last, Anna and Dan has reached the shore. Anna was in tears, “ Oh! Why have I gotten into this rotten course!? I’d rather play Journey Quest at home! I’d almost hit level 100!” The 41th time. Jeremy was so annoyed that he decided to ignore Anna. Even Dan feel bored after hearing her complaining for so many times.

Chapter Two

-total disaster!!-

After canoeing, Anna, Dan and Jeremy continued their training. They went rocky-hill-climbing the next. 

“ Dan!!! Help me!!! I am scared of heights!! “ Anna screamed. Now, she was dangling off a cliff. But the distance between the ground and her were merely five meters. Even Dan was at a place a lot higher than her, Jeremy was still the highest. The boys both though “ Can Anna just shut up for sometimes? Jeez, I have never met a more annoying girl in my life.” So, Jeremy decided to keep ignoring Anna. However, Dan felt responsible and protective against Anna, so he offered to help her. 

After Jeremy reached the top, he waited for another half an hour till Anna and Dan reached the top. When they finally reached the top, they found Jeremy looking very annoyed and angry. And he said to Anna:” Gosh, can you be more annoying? Just shut up when you want to say anything, I am fed up with you.” And, he packed up and left. Then, he yelled back at them over his back, “ We have a training sections at three o’clock. Remember to meet me at the start of the hiking Trail. Then, he left.

Dan looked at his watch. It’s already 2:59p.m. And they won’t be able to have any rest. And they were already very exhausted. But what can they do? They don’t even have a map inside their bags!  And cannot stay there. So, feeling very discontented, they left.

Chapter Three

-Farewell... Jeremy...-

“ I have been waiting for you guys for more than five minutes! And I am not waiting any longer. You better catch up with my pace or else, get lost! “ Jeremy scolded impatiently. 

“ Oh... why were we even friends with J? We don’t even have the same hobbies!!!” Anna wailed. But Dan comforted her that “ Anna, Jeremy was not always like that! He was only angry when he cannot concentrate on his way. You know how serious he is. He’s quite a nice guy some times.” 

“ Yeah, right, sometimes.” Anna muttered. But when she thought of Jeremy’s handsome smiles, all her angriness faded away. And she smiled and filled herself with energy again.

So, Anna and Dan walked very fast for about 15 minutes and they met Jeremy. The first time in the hiking section, also the last time in their lives. 

When they met Jeremy, they were already very thirsty and very tired. So, they set on a bench beside the trail and had a drink of water. However, Jeremy took no notice of them. 

So, after the drink of water, they went back on hiking. They were confused when they encountered a cross-road. “ Which way did Jeremy went? ” Dan asked. And Anna was so scared that she cried some more. Dan comforted her, “don’t worry Anna, we could call Jeremy.” So, he fished out his cell phone from his bag. “ What!? There’s no battery!! ” He was stunned!! He just charged his cell phone last night! 

“ What are we gonna do??” Anna sobbed. She never listened to what the teacher says in safety lessons, that’s why she has no idea what she has to do. But that’s a good thing too, because she also doesn’t know what will happen in the wild. That makes her less nervous.

However, Dan the brain was so scared that he felt dizzy.  When he looked up, he saw Anna dashed into one of the trails! 

“ Anna! Come Back! ” but too late, she has already disappeared into the hollow tree trunks. Dan felt himself shivered as he went after Anna.

“ Anna? Anna? Where are you? ”  Dan keep on asking as he walked through the shadowy trail. Suddenly, he heard a scream “ Help!!!”

“Anna!” Dan rushed towards the place where the sound came from. That’s when he step on something slippery. 

Blood.

Dan’s heart began to beat faster. On the trail he walked, he saw some foot prints in Red. Footprints in Blood. According to his knowledge, those foot prints belong to a kind of fierce yet cunning predator--- Cheetah.

Anna must be in danger!! Dan felt so scared that he cannot walk. 

“ Help!! Dan!! ” Anna screamed. 

Dan felt a courage that he has never had and rushed towards the place. 

He froze when he saw what Anna’s holding.

Jeremy’s Head.

He almost faint when he saw what’s lying around.

Jeremy’s hands and feet.

The scene he saw was way bloodier than any scary movies he has seen. Then everything went black.

“ Dan? Dan?? Wake up!!! Don’t leave me!! I need you...” Dan become conscious when he heard Anna’s voice. 

“Huh? What happened?” Dan rubbed his eyes. He thought that he has dreamt about some very bloody scenes. “ Anna? What happened?” That’s when he notice that in fact, his dream was not a dream. It’s real.  

“ Dan, I believe you’ve lost some memory. Jeremy just died and we’re lost.”  Anna cried.A

Jeremy... Die... Anna... Lost...

Suddenly, all thoughts rushed back to Dan. “ Yes! Anna! I remember now.” 

Then, he asked Anna, “have you seen Jeremy’s backpack?”  Anna looked at him with wide eyes. “ Why...y...” She stammered. “ Stop Why-ing. WHERE IS JEREMY’S BACKPACK?!” Dan looked so serious. Even Anna can’t object what Dan said. “ It’s..s there...r.. und..er... the benchhh....” She sobbed more. She missed Jeremy so much already. 

• unrequited Love *

Dan ran forward and grabbed Jeremy’s backpack and then pour all the stuff inside onto the ground. 

“ What are you doing??” Anna cried. She was already heartbroken that her beloved one was dead. And now looks like Dan was going to destroy the memory that was left. 

“ No Whats. No Whys. No more questions. And do as I say.” Dan ordered. Anna had no choice but to obey.  Dan got a map and a compass out of Jeremy’s stuff and also found some food and two bottles of water. He decided to get these to help himself and Anna to survive. Then, out of the corner of his eye, he saw Anna secretly put something into her bag.

“ Anna Lorwell!( Anna’s full name) we cannot afford anymore energy lost. Get that thing you’ve put in you sack out right now!” Dan was furious. When will Anna realize how emergency and dangerous the situation was? 

“ No! It’s mine... Jeremy is mine... He’s mine... He’s mine...” Poor Anna has gone mental after such shock.  She’s laughing and crying at the same time.

“Okay, Anna, now, you’ve got to listen to what Dan says. Okay?” Anna just giggled.

Dan has got no other choices, but to grabbed Anna’s arm and pull her away from the scene. 

Chapter four

-Anna returns-

Dan was exhausted when they finally reached the mountain. And he was so thirsty. However, when he reached into his bag...” Oh No!! No water??” He fainted again. 

Suddenly, a storm came. And a lightning struck Anna. Suddenly, her mind became clear. And there’s knowledge which she hasn’t learn before in her brain and she became so powerful that she can carry Dan over the mountains and down the valleys.

She ran for three days without stopping. And Dan was still unconscious after these three days. 

All of a sudden, Anna saw some camels walking along the dessert. 

Camels...?

“ But why? Why Camels? Isn’t that supposed to be Kiwi Birds instead of Camels? That’s just doesn’t make sense...” Anna though smartly. 

So, she went and asked the owners of the camels. 

“ Hey, How are you? What’s this place?” Anna asked casually.

The owner looked at her with a puzzled look.

“ What’s this place? “ Anna asked again. She saw some triangles beyond the sand.

Then, she realized in horror...

Egypt??! 

yeah! She was right! It’s egypt! She has walked with bare foot from NZ to Egypt!! 

She can’t believe it!!

She was so surprised that she fainted.

Chapter five

-End of the tiresome and horrible journey-

( Anna’s Diary entry )

“ Anna? Anna! OH... Anna dear, I am so glad you finally woke up...” 

This voice sounded similar... Hmm...

“ Anna?”

Dan? What’s he doing there in my room!?

He opened my eyes and stared. 

Familiar faces...

Thick glasses and slim face, Dan’s face of course; green eyes, brown hair, same bulgy figure--- my mum.

“ Anna, do you remember what happened?” Dan asked.

I decided to ignore him. Because how could I forgot the death of my beloved one?...
